Abderrahmane Sissako

He was born in Mauritania. He leaned Russian and graduated in cinema at VGIK Institute in Moscou. His second medium length film, Octobre, was shown in Cannes. He was artistic manager on Molom, directed by Marie Jaoul de Poncheville in 1994. He made a short film in 1995 and a medium one, Sabrya, shown in Venice. After a documentary, Rostov Luanda, he made La Vie sur terre.
