Muyan Wang

Head Programmer

Muyan Wang is a Chinese film critic based in Paris. Since 2012, he has been a correspondent for several Chinese media outlets, including The Paper, contributes to the American magazine Film Comment, and occasionally writes for the French press. He has been a member of the Directors’ Fortnight selection committee since late 2022.

Caroline Maleville

As programming manager for the French Cinematheque since 2009, Caroline Maleville has been regularly organizing events dedicated to emerging filmmakers. Beyond her collaborations with the Locarno Film Festival, the FEMA La Rochelle and Entrevues in Belfort, she is also a member of various regional script-reading committees as well as the committee for Arte France Cinéma. She joined the Directors’ Fortnight selection committee in 2022.

Gabriela Trujillo

A writer, essayist and film historian, Gabriela Trujillo worked for many years at "la Cinémathèque française" before becoming director of "la Cinémathèque de Grenoble". She now devotes her time to teaching at various institutions and writing. She has been a member of the Directors’ Fortnight selection committee since 2023.

Àlvaro Arroba

Since 2017, Álvaro Arroba has lived in Buenos Aires and works as a programmer for BAFICI. He writes on film for La Vanguardia, Cahiers du Cinéma, Sight & Sound, and CinemaScope, among others. He teaches at EICTV (Cuba) and is the Spanish-language editor of novels by Agustina Bessa-Luís and several cinema essays. He is currently a programmer for SEMINCI (Valladolid) and a member of the selection committee of the Directors’ Fortnight. 

Marie-Pauline Mollaret

Short films

Marie-Pauline Mollaret is a film critic for the magazines L’Avant-Scène Cinéma, Blink Blank, Bref, and Écran Noir. She also co-hosts Bulles de rêves, a Radio Libertaire program dedicated to animated cinema. In parallel, she works as a programmer for the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma in Montreal, and the Paris International Animation Film Festival. She previously served on the selection committee of the Cannes Critics’ Week for eight years.

Agathe Bonitzer

Short films

Agathe Bonitzer is a theatre and film actress. She has notably worked with Christophe Honoré, Agnès Jaoui, Ado Arrietta, Damien Manivel, and Angela Schanelec, and has performed on stage under the direction of Michel Fau, Jean-Luc Revol, and Robert Cantarella. She is a member of the jury that awards the Jean Vigo Prize each year.

Cíntia Gil

Currently an independent film programmer, for 10 years, Cíntia Gil has co-directed and directed film festivals (Doclisboa and Sheffield DocFest). She has curated a variety of contemporary and historical film series, retrospectives and exhibitions, and wrote articles for a wide array of publications. In addition, she has taught seminars, lectures and workshops in different institutions. Currently, she is a tutor for project development at the Pompeu Fabra Master's for creative documentary, Barcelona. 

Ming-Jung Kuo

Ming-Jung Kuo has extensive experience in film festival management, programming, and talent support. As Programme Director for Taipei Film Festival (2014–2018), she balanced showcasing new talent, narrative VR, and cinema heritage, and launched initiatives to support script development and co-production. She joined Singapore International Film Festival in 2019, becoming Artistic Director, and served on Locarno Festival Open Doors’ selection committee.  She has also been extensively involved in the selection of projects for Taiwanese and SE Asian script development and regional funding schemes.

Jordan Cronk

Jordan Cronk is an American film critic and programmer based in Los Angeles. He's the founder of Acropolis Cinema, a screening series for international, experimental, and undistributed films, and a regular contributor to Artforum, Film Comment, MUBI Notebook, and Reverse Shot. His writing has also been published by Cinema Scope, the Criterion Collection, BOMB, Filmmaker Magazine, Frieze, the Harvard Film Archive, Metrograph Journal, and Sight and Sound. He is a member of the Los Angeles Film Critics Association.

Lucie Detrain

Lucie Detrain has worked at Memento Films Distribution as well as in the audiovisual departments of the French Embassy in London and New York (Villa Albertine). She then served as communications officer at ACID for several years. She is a member of the selection committee of the Luxembourg City Film Festival and of the Young Creation section of FIPADOC. She also coordinates the event “La Quinzaine en salle,” which brings the Directors’ Fortnight program to around thirty cinemas across France each June.
