Behrouz Afkhami

Born in Tehran in 1956, graduate of the School of Cinema and Television, Koochake Jangali (TV Series) was his debut as a director. The Bride, his first feature film is among ten most popular films in Iranian cinema and is considered a milestone, because of its cinematic charms. Afkhami is a reformist Member of Parliament and his films have a similar popularity among critics and cinemagoers. In The River’s End, Afkhami has experienced a new kind of filmmaking and an iconoclastic kind of approach.
