Bruno Dumont is one of the most singular French filmmakers of his generation. A former philosophy teacher, he gained recognition early on with The Life of Jesus and Humanity, both awarded at Cannes. Since then, his work has continually reinvented itself, exploring with rare freedom both drama and comedy, the prosaic and the sacred. In 2018, he received the Golden Leopard for Lifetime Achievement at Locarno.
