Erden Kiral

He was born in Turkey. He studied fine arts and started working as a film critic and the publishing of cinema reviews. He dedicated to direction and worked in advertising. He directed short films and a first feature film in 1978. In 1980, he won a Grand Prize in Strasbourg for Terres fertiles. In 1983, Une saison en Hakkari won awards like the Fipresci Prize in Berlin. Le Miroir was shown in Venice and awarded in Figueira da Foz and Istanbul.
