Ibrahim OMAR

Ibrahim Omar is a Sudanese filmmaker and writer, a graduate of the Higher Institute of Cinema in Cairo, and founder of the Sudan Film Institute. His short Nothing Happens after That won the Jury Prize at Oberhausen and the Golden Tanit at Carthage. His debut hybrid feature Nothing Happens after the Revolution premiered at Visions du Réel 2026. His work explores exile, memory, and fragile identity. His latest film, presented here, is part of a trilogy titled After the Event or Post-Trauma.
