James Mangold

Born in New York city, he grew up in the Hudson Valley. He wrote screenplays for the Hollywood connexion or not. He wrote an animation for Disney, Oliver & Company, and various dramas for TV. His parents were famous painters: Robert and Sylvia Mangold. He made several short films so that attracted great attention when he was a student at the California Institute for the Arts, at Columbia University and at the Sundance Institute. Heavy is his first feature film.
