Jonas Carpignano

Jonas Carpignano grew up between Rome and New York. His first two acclaimed short films received awards at the 68th Mostra of Venice and at the 2014 Critics’ Week in Cannes. His first feature film, Mediterranea, was selected in Cannes in 2015 (Critics’ Week). His second feature, A Ciambra, premiered in 2017 at the Directors’ Fortnight. With A Chiara, he is back in Cannes and brings the trilogy to an end in the Calabrian town of Gioia Tauro, Italy, where his three feature films were shot.
