Juris Kursietis

Later a Northern Media School graduate with a master’s degree in film directing, Juris Kursietis started out at the age of 20 as a foreign correspondent for the Latvian Television. His debut feature Modris saw its world premiere as the official selection of Toronto International Film Festival. The film also was given Special Mention in San Sebastian Film Festival and the Best Director award in Tbilisi International Film Festival.
