41-year-old New York filmmaker Lodge Kerrigan is one of the leading figures in American independent cinema. He as only made three features to date but they are all major works which have been shown at Cannes: Clean,Shaven, a terrifying portrait of a psychopath, Claire Dolan (with its unforgettable call girl played by the late, lamented Katrin Cartlidge) and now, Keane.
