Maria Novaro

She was born in Mexico. She studied cinema at the Cinema studies center and directed various short films and participated in the direction of several movies. She became Alberto Cortes’ assistant on Amor a la vuelta de la Esquina. In 1989, she directed her first feature film, Lola, awarded best first movie of the year in Mexico and awarded in many festivals. Danzon is her second film.
