Maureen Fazendeiro (b. 1989) is a French filmmaker and scriptwriter based in Lisbon. She studied literature, art and cinema. Her films Motu Maeva (2014) and Black Sun (2019) were selected in many international film festivals and screened in cinematheques, museums and art fairs. She is a member of “L’Abominable”, an artist-run lab based in Paris. She worked as a casting director for Miguel’s Arabian Nights. She then collaborated as a scriptwriter on Savagery and Grand Tour. In 2020 they co-directed The Tsugua Diaries.
