Mira Nair

She was born in a small town in India. She studied theater in Delhi and went to the USA in 976 to graduate in Harvard. She directed documentaries. Her films were shown in festivals in New York, Filmex and in France. Her last movie India Cabaret won the award of best short film at the American Film Festival and at the Global Village Film Festival. Her work was many awarded, mainly in the USA. Salaam Bombat! is her first feature film.
