Patricia Rozema
Born in a Dutch imigrants family, she grew up in a small industrial town in South Ontario. She graduated in philosophy and British literature in Michigan. She was interested in journalism and worked at the CBC for example. She started working in cinema as an assistant director, for example on The Fly directed by David Cronenberg. She studied technique in Canada and Ontario. She wrote and directed her first short film, Passion: a Letter, awarded in Chicago.
