Pen-ek Ratanaruang

Pen-ek Ratanaruang was born in Bangkok in 1962 and lived in New York from 1977 till 1985 where he studied art history. After free-lancing as a graphic artist, he returned to Thailand to become artistic director at the Leo Burnett Agency for which he produced a number of internationally award-winning commercials for Thai television.
