Lolo

Quinzaine 1993 | Feature film | 1 h 28

Dolores Chimal, a.k.a. Lolo, lives in the suburbs of Mexico City. He leads a peaceful life with his family, until the day he is mugged while leaving the factory where he works. He spends one week in hospital and loses his job. This sparks off a series of violent events, making Lolo lose any notion of good and evil. Unintentionally, Lolo causes an old lady of his neighborhood to die. Fearing that he would get caught, Lolo lets the man who protected him and found him work be unfairly accused. The local gang, furious about Lolo’s lack of loyalty, threatens to kill him unless he gives himself up. Terrified by the gang’s threats, Lolo turns to his girlfriend for help. They both escape…
