With clear lines and the texture of a felt-tip pen, this animated film evokes the last days of the German Democratic Republic in 1989. Margarethe has been sectioned for being a member of the Leipzig punk community that holds their concerts in a church. The sharpness of the brush renders the historical ambiguity of the moment perfectly.
