Prevention and actions against moral, sexist and sexual violence and harassment
Moral, sexist and sexual violence constitutes a serious violation of fundamental human rights, is strictly prohibited by law, and is subject to criminal penalties.
Respect for the human person and their physical integrity is a core value of the Society of Film Directors.
The Directors’ Fortnight and the SRF reaffirm their commitment to respect for human rights, gender equality, and the protection of children and adolescents. They firmly reject all forms of sexual, sexist or discriminatory violence and/or harassment.
All members, employees, collaborators, partners, service providers and guests of the Directors’ Fortnight and the SRF must strictly comply with the absolute prohibition of any form of moral, sexist or sexual violence and/or harassment, as well as any insulting, defamatory, discriminatory remarks or behavior that undermines the dignity of individuals.
The Directors’ Fortnight and the SRF affirm that no impunity will be granted within their organization to perpetrators of moral, sexist or sexual violence and/or harassment. They commit to taking all necessary measures to put an end to any unlawful behavior or speech brought to the attention of their managers or designated contacts, who may, if necessary, report such acts to the competent authorities.
Sanctions will be applied in proportion to the severity of the acts and may include exclusion from events organized by the Directors’ Fortnight and the SRF.
IDENTIFYING AND PREVENTING
Sexual violence and harassment refer to situations in which a person imposes behaviors or remarks—whether verbal or written—of a sexual nature on another person.
These forms of violence may take various forms, including sexual assault, rape, voyeurism, or sexual harassment.
It is essential not to face such situations alone and to seek support.
