El Hob Fouk Adabat El Haram

We belong to the middle class that underwent the influence of the political and economic changes that took place after the 1952 revolution. I belong to the generation that lived through events such as the socialist laws of the early 60’s, the defeat in 1967, the death of President Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1970, the victory in 1973 and the changes that affected the country on a social and economic level. It seemed essential to me to use the cinema in order to retrace the background to these changes, whose first victims were the class and the generation to which I belong. The analysis of these circumstances and the description of the consequences of the measures taken, are the first step toward adopting a position in favour of the Egyptian citizen. Atef el Tayeb
