Après qu’une voyante lui a prédit que sa mère âgée pourrait bientôt mourir, Sakol entreprend un pèlerinage d’une journée dans neuf temples, afin de conjurer le sort. Il embarque sa mère affaiblie, ainsi que sa femme, son frère, sa sœur et ses enfants, dans ce voyage au coeur des splendeurs de l’architecture thaïlandaise.

Sompot Chidgasornpongse est titulaire d’un master en cinéma / vidéo au California Institute of the Arts. Ses courts métrages ont été présentés dans de nombreux festivals internationaux. Il a également travaillé en étroite collaboration avec Apichatpong Weerasethakul en tant qu’assistant réalisateur sur de nombreux films, notamment Tropical Malady, Syndromes and a Century, Cemetery of Splendour et Memoria.
